The Santa Ana River ends at the Pacific Ocean. The trail shown is the end of the river trail just before it connects into the beach path. The riders heading left are going under PCH and heading inland along the river.

The beach trail intersects the Santa Ana River trail which takes you 30 miles inland. Up and over the bridge takes you into Newport Beach. To the north is Huntington Beach.
