This loop travels around the entire perimeter of the park. Taking in the lake loop, the ridge line and the canyon, this is the author's choice.

Directions:: Starting from the parking lot head right, towards the west. Travel around the lake. Stay to the left on all intersections. You will eventually pass below the dam where you will make your first right, onto the canyon trail. A hundred feet down the trail you will make a left and tackle the big hill^* which takes you to the ridge line. Once at the top take the small single track, on your left, up even farther. Once back on the main ridge trail, take it to the very end. Then go through the fence on the right and head down the single track as it runs through the eucalyptus trees. At the bottom stay inside the fence and head right and up the canyon. After arriving back at the base of the dam stay to the right. A few hundred feet later you will see a small single track on the left that will take you the rest of the way back to the parking area.
